Pitch to practical teacher Matt

We talked about the accessibility and other possibilities with Matt, who is in charge of the media workshop. We chose the ‘January Sun’ and presented our ideas through images. Including the band performance, lip syncs and  props we would like to put in the video: The style of the music video is old style, so the image quality is relatively low (720p), and the images include dead body with label on the foot. In addition, the funeral dance and the coffin scenes.

Matt suggested us to have some lip syncs parts inside the coffin, the singer could stay in the coffin and acting like people are moving the coffin, and he sings in the coffin with a struggle face. So that can be a large part of the music.
I understand there should have a plan B for the cat scene, because animals are difficult to control. Also, the idea of using flour on the surface of the drum is cool, but it’s difficult to clear up and when we take another shoot, it might be in the scene, that may interacts the whole style of the music video. The coffin is not a big problem, we can always make one with simple material.
